HOPE Video premieres at The NYC Voices Community Film Festival

Presented by Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health FORWARD Community Engagement Action Corps, the Office of Inclusive Excellence (OIE) and the Community Health Collaborative (CHEC), The NYC Voices Community Film Festival aims to encourage creativity in communicating about public health issues that are important to our local New York City communities through storytelling, digital media, and the belief that we all have a story to tell! This was a night dedicated to uplifting and celebrating the inspiring New York City voices through a selection of films created and submitted by community members!

This year's theme was Community Stories of Health and Hope and our film collaboration with Womanly Magazine ‘Embracing Doula Care’ was screened with director Attia S. Taylor who spoke on a panel with other phenomenal filmmakers and storytellers about this work. Our team is so proud that this film lives on and continues to educate people on the incredible power of doulas in our hospital systems and in our communities, and that free doula care is available in NYC!
