Black Maternal Health Disparities
HOPE leadership was honored to take part in the webinar Black Maternal Health: Our Bodies Belong to Us — Restoring Black Autonomy and Joy, a powerful conversation held in recognition of Black Maternal Health Week. Convened by the Arnhold Institute for Global Health, this discussion brought together leaders to explore how systems of care can center autonomy, joy, and dignity for Black and Brown birthing people. The session also highlighted the origins and impact of the HOPE Community Doula Program and the importance of culturally rooted, justice-driven approaches to addressing maternal health inequities in NYC.
