The HOPE team presented the Born Inside Report findings at the symposium focused on “Pregnancy and Postpartum in Prison: Healthcare, Law, and Lived Experience.” The Symposium, organized by Children of Incarcerated Caregivers, aimed to examine global and U.S. practices around perinatal care for incarcerated and justice-impacted people, discuss the need for international standards, and explore alternatives to incarceration for pregnant and postpartum individuals.
