HOPE was invited to present at the 2023 AWHONN Annual Convention, held June 17–21 in New Orleans. The convention brought together clinicians, researchers, and innovators committed to advancing high-quality care for women and newborns. The HOPE team highlighted the role of community-based doulas in strengthening patient experience, improving communication across care teams, and advancing birth equity in public hospital settings. By sharing lessons and early program outcomes learned from Queens, NYC the HOPE team contributed to a national dialogue on how interdisciplinary models can support safer, more culturally responsive maternity care for all families.
