The HOPE team was honored to be featured at the 2024 American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) Annual Clinical & Scientific Meeting, one of the nation’s premier gatherings for advancing research and clinical practice in obstetrics and gynecology. HOPE team medical student, Kaila Helm, presented the poster “‘She resolved my doubts, and I was a little calmer’: A Qualitative Analysis of the HoPE Community-Based Doula Care Program in an Urban Public Hospital.” This poster highlighted the lived experiences of birthing people supported by HOPE doulas and demonstrated the program’s impact on communication, emotional support, and overall birth experience within the NYC public hospital system.
